Remember These Things After Undergoing Back Waxing For Men

By Dennis Ward

Getting waxed was once limited to females. However, nowadays a lot of males are also paying for the very same hair removal procedure in order to look presentable and feel fantastic. If you're about to undergo back waxing for men for the very first time, a few things should be kept in your mind right after the treatment. Some really important ones are briefly discussed below.

Opt for shirts that fit loosely. After getting waxed, the skin is so sensitive that it's so vulnerable to ending up irritated. It's exactly for this reason why loose fitting clothes are the ones that you should wear after the salon trip. Such can help ward off unnecessary friction and excessive sweating. It's recommended, too, for you to stick to those that are light colored and out of natural fabrics such as cotton.

Refrain from exercising. See to it that you skip going to the gym to exercise after having the procedure. Otherwise, sweat can cause irritation of the treated area. It's also possible to introduce microbes to the enlarged pores, which is something that can easily lead to an infection. Working out is not the only thing you should avoid doing, but also any other intense physical activity that can cause you to sweat a lot.

Go ahead and enjoy a cold shower or bath. It cannot be denied that getting waxed is excruciating. Your skin may stay feeling achy several hours after your trip to the local salon. For much needed relief, you may have a cold shower or bath. Avoid taking a hot one at all costs as it will surely make that pain intensify.

Avoid swimming. Although it can be very tempting for you to let everyone see your smooth back by hitting the swimming pool, it's something that you should refrain from doing for at least a day. Such necessary in order to prevent pore clogging and irritation. Before you resume swimming, see to it that your back has healed completely.

Dodge the sun. Make sure that you do everything you can to shield your newly waxed body part from being touched by direct sunlight. A day after the treatment or when the irritation has subsided, don't forget to apply sunscreen most especially when going topless outdoors. Opt for sunscreen with an SPF of 30 of greater in order to prevent sunburns.

Apply a moisturizer on a regular basis. It's highly recommended that you keep the area properly hydrated with the help of a moisturizing lotion. Aside from your skin, those growing hair will also be softened thus preventing them from growing back into the skin. Remember to use a moisturizer that's very mild. Check that it contains no fragrances and other strong chemicals that can irritate the skin and clog up the pores.

Start exfoliating after about 3 days. Allow 3 days to pass and then exfoliate while you are in the shower. This is something that can spare you from being bugged by ingrown hair. Aside from a commercially available exfoliating agent, you may simply use a homemade one such as something that uses rock salt or sugar. You can also get rid of those unwanted dead skin cells effectively using a small and rough towel.
