By Della Monroe

As part of geography harsh climatic conditions is one of the arid factors. This is why many people cannot survive in it. Life is tough and people have to sweat to get basic needs. Creatures living there have to adapt to the hard situations in order to survive. The lifestyle is nomadic since they have to move to different places to settle. Individuals there live an isolated life because very few individuals live there. The above talks about an oasis water source and its relevance.

The most interesting thing about arid regions is oasis. An oasis is a fertile spot in the wilderness where water is found. They are very unique geographical features which can be found all over the world. They provide drink and shelter to all living creatures in the region. It is the only place where animals and individuals get their drink.

These features can be form naturally or artificially. There are a number of place which can act as its water source. There are many ways in which they are formed. It can be created by an underground river which has enough pressure to make the water to ooze to the ground surface forming it. The aquifers are known to supply water to the havens.

They can also be created by normal forces. This includes rain which adds the H2O table. Surface streams are also known to create these features. They form their springs underground which then form the creations at a far distance from the streams. Those which are created from permanent sources never lack H2O. Those that are created from temporary ones lose it when the conditions get tough.

Life is more unbearable in the arid region with the few havens. People have to put an extra effort to create their own artificial one to aid in their daily endeavors. One that is well built can generate its own spring from where it will be getting supplies from. They have to be maintained very highly to ensure that they stay for long and even help the many generations to come.

They are a numbers of advantages of these features to the environment. Plants and trees grow around them because they have very fertile soil. The trees conserve the water in it. This is a function performed by trees. This makes it impossible for thee feature to lose its wetness. They also have roots which retain lots of it to be used in future.

Sandstorms in the arid areas are very dangerous. The oasis can be affected by them greatly. Soil shifting could take place leading to the lowering of the water. This reduction is hard to alter even when the sandstorms stop. The vegetation surrounding it is the one which prevents this from happening. They act as a strong obstacle leaving them at their normal quantity.

Life without these creations in the arid areas would have been unbearable. No creatures would be able to endure the conditions in those places. Oases have to be maintained properly because they are the source of life. Every being in the desert depends on it. This is the reason why that it should be used resourcefully by the users to ensure that this happens.
