After preparing the salad, along with the main course and appropriate side dishes, few have time for dessert. The good news is that there are many treats that are fast and healthy that are better when topped with a little dairy free whipped cream.

At one time, plant diets seemed only right for rabbits. With no flavor and less variety, it is no wonder that anyone who followed the old way of going vegetarian lost weight quickly. However, it seems like only a handful of people could make this way of eating a lifestyle.

These recipes are so good that many carnivores have happily converted to vegetarianism. When meals taste good, it makes dieting a lot easier and better for overall health. Making a lifetime commitment to eating right is the best way to maintain a proportionate body weight.

Many people who grew up with nondairy whipped topping products may have looked like it was made from cream, but the taste said differently. These products, while convenient due to its being able to store for months at a time, were loaded with oils and preservatives. Even though there were versions that were labeled fat free, the chemical taste remained.

While there are many recipes to be found, most of these are made from coconut milk, soy, or tofu products, as these have a denser texture. There are also whipped recipes that use cashew or oat milk. The nutrient values for most of these but almost all recipes have zero saturated fat. An advantage to making it at home is being able to add extra ingredients like ground cinnamon or vanilla extract.

Although the dairyless cream is great on gelatin desserts, it can be used the same way to make sweets that only taste sinful. It can be layered in a clear dish to make a fruit or pudding parfait with chunks of fat free angel food cake. A lot of people who are staying away from ice cream but want just to add something special during the warm weather may like a fruit sorbet with a dollop of cream.

Some just like to eat whipped cream by itself. If there are ripe bananas around the house, these can be blended as a puree and mixed in with the cream. This may be eaten alone or with a little cocoa powder.

For those who do not care for baking but love their sweets can make this treat that is certain to take care of chocolate cravings. Mix a packet of reduced calorie hot chocolate or cocoa powder and place inside individual containers. Let stiffen or freeze for two hours. If a person wants to add variety, mashed bananas will work also.
