This technique includes ice and heat treatment exercising which mostly involves a lot of stretching and physical therapy. Pain medications can also be administered to the patient.

One may require a collar in order to regain the normal position of the neck. The doctor can prescribe some antibiotics in the case of an infection. It is not common for the patient to undergo surgery. One can treat while at home the normal neck pains. Ice treatment can be applied for some days.

Pain can be relieved by use of pain killers. Exercising of the necks prevents stiffness. Another way is by practicing of good posture. This should be done by people who have occupations that require siting down for long hours. A pillow should be used whenever an individual is sleeping too. Gentle massages can be done on daily basis to prevent pains.
